Service Description
OK Alerts is a non-medical social support and check-in service for seniors and persons with disabilities living independently. Our AI agent "Jordan" contacts you daily via voice and SMS to confirm you're doing okay. If you miss a check-in or request help, your designated navigators are notified.
Not a Medical Service
OK Alerts is not a medical alert system, emergency response service, or replacement for 911.
We do not:
- Provide medical advice or diagnosis
- Dispatch emergency services
- Monitor health conditions
- Replace professional medical care
In a medical or life-threatening emergency, always call 911 immediately.
Your Responsibilities
By using OK Alerts, you agree to:
- Provide accurate contact information
- Designate at least one navigator who agrees to receive alerts
- Respond to check-ins when able
- Call 911 for medical emergencies (not rely on OK Alerts)
- Keep your phone charged and accessible during check-in times
Navigator Responsibilities
Navigators (family members, friends, or caregivers you designate) agree to:
- Respond to alerts when possible
- Check on you when notified of missed check-ins
- Call 911 if they believe you're in danger
- Notify us if they can no longer serve as navigator
Messaging Terms
- Message frequency varies based on your check-in schedule
- Message and data rates may apply
- Reply STOP to cancel messages anytime
- Reply HELP for assistance
Service Limitations
OK Alerts relies on phone networks and cannot guarantee:
- 100% message delivery (network issues may occur)
- Immediate navigator response
- Emergency intervention
We are a coordination tool, not an emergency service.
Cancellation
You may cancel anytime by:
- Replying STOP to any message
- Contacting support@okalerts.com
Limitation of Liability
OK Alerts provides a social coordination service only. We are not liable for:
- Medical emergencies or health outcomes
- Delayed or failed message delivery
- Navigator failure to respond
- Any damages arising from use or inability to use the service
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
